Quote of the Week - More on Idea Execution

I’m currently reading Scott Belsky’s Making Ideas Happen. It is a fascinating read that looks at the creative mindset that focuses less on idea generation and more on idea implementation and execution.
In my line of work, ideas are constantly generated. However, idea killing and more importantly, idea execution, receive less fanfare. But as I stated before, I believe that idea execution is key and truly needs to receive more focus from senior management.
And again, Belsky sums it best by stating:
“Ideas are not made to happen by accident or out of luck. Creative achievement is simply the logical outcome of doing something different and seeing it through to completion.” — Scott Belsky, Making Ideas Happen
In short, creative achievement = Idea Execution.
