Quote of the Week: Sun Tzu

One fact about leadership is that you can’t lead a team if you don’t have a team to lead. sun_tzu1

Another fact is that the team needs to be rewarded for a job done well. This doesn’t necessarily mean monetary incentives. It means providing them an opportunity to grow, learn, be heard regardless of seniority, be trusted, and do the job they are there to do. I think Sun Tzu sums it up best:

Bestow rewards without regard to rule, issue orders without regard to previous arrangements; and you will be able to handle a whole army as though you had to do with but a single man.
